Pfeiffer syndrome is a type of craniosynostosis (premature fusion of the cranial sutures), which is characterized by bulging eyes due to shallow eye sockets, underdevelopment of the mid-face, and broad short thumbs and big toes. There are three types of Pfeiffer syndrome.
