Pierre Robin Syndrome / Sequence is a condition that results in the underdevelopment of the lower jaw, abnormal placement of the tongue and cleft palate. The tongue may ball up in the back of the mouth, causing the airway to block and possible apnea (stopping breathing temporarily).
