2020 Scholarships

In this exceptional year, we are pleased to announce the AboutFace Anna Pileggi Post-Secondary Scholarship has been awarded to three Canadian students. The scholarships are awarded annually to students living with a facial difference.

The 2020 recipients are:

Chelsea VandenBoogaard from Alberta: In the fall, Chelsea will enter her fourth year of a commerce degree at the University of Alberta, majoring in Human Resources. She is an active volunteer in her community, as well as a strong advocate for people experiencing marginalization. Chelsea is in the top photo, with AboutFace Board Vice-Chair, Alim Somji.

Kathleen Linehan from Nova Scotia: Kathleen is a dedicated volunteer in her community and was president in grade 12 of her school’s Leo Club. She graduated high school with a rigorous International Baccalaureate diploma. Over the past year, Kathleen has been working at two jobs in order to attend McGill University in the fall, where she will major in biology.
