TempStars, Canada’s largest dental temping and hiring agency, is using their expertise in marketing and technology to help build greater awareness and support of AboutFace.
The TempStars team was looking to make a meaningful charitable impact and asked colleagues in the dental space to name charities they would recommend. AboutFace was mentioned repeatedly. Says dentist and TempStars founder Dr. James Younger, “with good dentistry being so integral to the facial difference community, AboutFace is a natural partnership for us.”
TempStars is a mobile app that works similarly to the Uber model. Using the app, dental offices needing temporary staffing help can immediately connect with available hygienists and assistants.
TempStars currently promotes awareness of and donations to AboutFace through their social media channels and via an account reinstatement feature on the app. Among other goals, the agency plans to help AboutFace explore digital campaigns to help increase community engagement.
“As a relatively new company, we don’t have deep pockets. But we are excited to use our knowledge of digital platforms to help AboutFace acquire and increase donor support well into the future,” says Dr. Younger.
